Active participation of the Center in the works of the 13th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva
The Center for Strategic Thinking and Defending Democracy participated in the thirteenth session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva (1-26 March 2010). His work was contributed to his work by Mrs. Amina Ghazal, who touched on strengthening international cooperation in the field of human rights by urging the High Commissioner for Human Rights to consult with states, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations on ways and means to enhance international cooperation and dialogue in the United Nations human rights mechanisms.
The Human Rights Council holds at least three regular sessions per year, for periods totaling at least ten weeks. They are held in March (four weeks), June (three weeks) and September (three weeks).
The Human Rights Council can, if requested by one-third of the member states, decide at any time to hold a special session to address human rights violations and emergencies.
